Our Locations
East Carolina Anesthesia Associates provides anesthesia services at several locations in the eastern region of North Carolina. We provide approximately 32,000 anesthetics, 3500 interventional pain procedures, 1400 labor epidurals and over 1000 caesarian sections per year.
Pitt County Memorial Hospital
Pitt County Memorial Hospital is a regional care facility for all levels of health services and information. The hospital is a tertiary referral center and provides acute, intermediate, rehabilitation and outpatient health services to more than 1.2 million people in 29 counties. It is the only level-1 trauma center east of Raleigh. The hospital has approximately 33,000 inpatient visits, more than 266,000 outpatients visits, and more than 3,000 deliveries in a typical year. The hospital has 24 fully equipped operating rooms, a cystoscopy suite, and 4 fully equipped operative delivery rooms.
East Carolina Heart Institute
The East Carolina Heart Institute’s mission is to improve North Carolina's health status through cardiovascular health service delivery, research and education. The institute is now under construction and will be the first facility in North Carolina devoted specifically and exclusively to the research, treatment and prevention of cardiovascular diseases. The construction project is a six-story, 375,000 square-foot, 120-bed center with 13 interventional labs and suites of dedicated operating rooms. The new center will incorporate all of the elements in the continuum of cardiac care: health promotion and disease prevention; primary care; diagnostic services; medical, surgical and interventional cardiology treatments.
SurgiCenter
The SurgiCenter is a 32,500-square foot, freestanding ambulatory care facility where physicians perform a wide range of elective outpatient surgical procedures in eight modern and well-equipped operating suites. The SurgiCenter serves patients who will recover and be ready to leave the center in fewer than 24 hours. For our patients' convenience, all surgeries are scheduled in advance and a six-bed 23 hour Recovery Care Center is available for those patients needing this. SurgiCenter Services of Pitt, Inc., is a not-for-profit subsidiary of Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
Pain Management Center
The Pain Management Center is a cooperative venture between East Carolina Anesthesia Associates and University Health Systems to provide comprehensive pain management and rehabiliation services to the citizens of eastern North Carolina. East Carolina Pain Consultants, a subdivision of East Carolina Anesthesia Associates, provides over 3500 outpatient interventional procedures a year at the clinic.
Heritage Hospital
Heritage Hospital is a full-service, 127-bed acute care facility where residents of Taboro, Edgecombe county and surrounding communities receive a wide range of health services. The hospital has five modern, well-equipped operating rooms and a cystoscopy suite.
